Part 1 What is wood-based panel?

Wood-based panels are made of wood or other non-wood plants, separated into various unit materials through certain mechanical processing, and then glued together with or without adhesives and other additives. They mainly include three categories of products: plywood, particleboard and fiberboard.

Part 2 Pressing process of wood-based panel

In the wood-based panel production line, the slabs need to be pressed twice: once pre-pressing and once hot pressing (final pressing). Pre-pressing is usually required before the final pressing in order to ensure that the board is of good quality.

For boards made of shavings, fibres, pre-pressing is required before entering the hot pressing equipment, a process also known as degassing. It is implemented by means of pre-pressing equipment with pre-press belt. The pre-pressing machine applies an initial pressure to the slabs, compacts the density and expels the air, giving them a certain strength and stability for subsequent hot press moulding.

Subsequently, hot press forming equipment presses the slabs under high pressure to form a homogeneous board of a specified thickness. Through the action of pressure and temperature, the glue hardens and the wood particles are plasticized, causing permanent deformation.

Part3 Application of pre-pressed belt on the machine

1. Applicable machine types

Our pre-press belts are suitable for multiple brands of machines on wood-based panel production line, such as Dieffenbacher, Simbelkom, and Yalian.

These machines all need to use pre-press belts to pre-press the plates, but the belts have a certain life span and need to be replaced regularly to ensure the normal operation of the production line. Our pre-press belts can be perfectly used on these machines, replacing the previous belts.

2. Application

The pre-press belts are used in the pre-pressing stage of the wood-based panel manufacturing process. In this stage, the belts needs to withstand greater pressure and friction, while ensuring that the slab does not deform or break during the conveying process.
